" Couple ' O ' Weekends back we got our friend Carl to take us to his parents place in Forster for the weekend. He's a mad spear-fisherman so he taught me some of the ropes and I had a go. Highlights include,

 

* Filming over 2 hours of underwater footage with my Dad's camera (thanks Dad). "Life Aquatic" type movie to come later, so stay tuned...

* Killing Fish

* Eating those Fish

* Sand boarding

* Teasing Azadeh (one of Zoe's girlfriends)

" Between Christmas and New Years we travelled down to southern NSW, stayed a couple of nights in Thredbo and had a 'walking' holiday (meaning, the main activity of the holiday was walking around the national park, boring huh?)

 

This was my first time to thredbo in the summer and I had been fed all Zoe's stories about how great it was, that we had to go do it, the country side is so beautiful etc... Well all her stories were true... it was spectacular! I loved it!

 

I did a bit of bouldering whilst we were there, we went to Blue Lake (which was amazing) and enjoyed picnic lunches everyday... itsa nice!

 

If you've skied thredbo before you'll probably recognise some of the terrain... sans la niege"

Another post on how lucky we are to live in Sydney... sorry...

 

Have a look at the gallery, one day in November last year we walked from Rush Cutters Bay Park around to Lady Macquarie's Chair (If you don't know what this means don't worry, neither do I)...

 

The photo below is from Rushcutter's Bay Park, The Church Tower at the top centre is St Marks, across from it to the right is the "robot head" of a boxy building. This is where we live (no we don't live on the top floor and no we don't live in a giant robot, although that would be cool)

 

Two Lessons from this photo...

1) We should go walking more often

2) He is good, cause none of this is our doing!

Just up the hill from where we live is the Sydney suburb of paddington.

 

Its a groovy cafe/arty/fashion area (i.e. too cool for us), lots of fun to walk around, visit bookshops etc and have a coffee...

 

One trip (back in Oct last year) we had our camera and we took some photos of the local graffiti/stencil/street art around this area. Some pretty awesome stuff... All of these pieces are now gone, buffed away, and only this gallery as a lasting capsule of urban art... will anyone see it now??
